Summary/Objective
Barenbrug USA is looking for a Graphic Designer & Media Coordinator to handle our print design and manage our relationships with trade publications. The design work covers trade advertising, packaging artwork, tradeshow materials, technical sheets, and our product catalog. The position will also draft press releases and company announcements. This role fits a production-minded designer who likes seeing work go to press and is comfortable negotiating with the publications that run it.
Responsibilities
· Design ads for turf and forage trade publications, built to each publication's specs and delivered by its artwork deadline.
· Create packaging artwork from supplied dielines, using product content provided by sector heads, and prepare final files for print production.
· Design tradeshow materials, including booth graphics, banners, and handout pieces.
· Design and update technical sheets, the product catalog, and other print collateral as needed.
· Keep ads, packaging, collateral, and event materials consistent with Barenbrug brand standards.
· Serve as the primary contact for trade publications and their advertising representatives.
· Negotiate ad rates with publications.
· Place insertion orders and confirm ads run as booked.
· Maintain the media calendar, tracking space reservations and artwork deadlines across every publication.
· Draft press releases, new hire announcements, and other communication pieces as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities
· Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
· Strong working knowledge of print production, including dielines, bleeds, CMYK and spot color, and press-ready file preparation.
· Experience building and maintaining multi-page layouts, such as catalogs, in InDesign.
· Comfortable negotiating rates and holding outside partners to deadlines.
· Highly organized, with the ability to run a media calendar alongside several active design projects.
· A sharp eye for detail when proofing packaging copy, technical data, ad specs, and final files.
· Clear, professional writing for press releases and company announcements.
· A team player who's humble, hungry, and smart.
Work Environment
This role works in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. The position can be hybrid.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
3 to 5 years of professional graphic design experience, including hands-on print production.
A portfolio showing print advertising, packaging, collateral, or tradeshow work, submitted with your application.
Preferred Education and Experience
Packaging design experience in agriculture, seed, turf, or a related industry.
Experience working with trade publications or managing ad placements.
Familiarity with social media and email marketing.
