Summary/Objective
We are seeking a skilled and analytically minded Ecommerce SEO & Digital Marketing Specialist to join our lean marketing team. In this role, organic search performance and on-site content optimization are your primary mandate, you will own the SEO health of our Shopify storefront and ensure our product and category pages are structured, written, and technically configured to rank and convert.
Beyond SEO, you will manage paid advertising campaigns across Google/YouTube, Meta, and Amazon, and maintain optimized product listings across our full channel mix: Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, The Home Depot (HD.com), and Lowe's.com. You will work closely with our in-house designer to develop content assets and collaborate across teams to keep all digital touchpoints accurate, competitive, and on-brand.
This role suits a self-directed, data-driven marketer who understands that organic and paid channels work best together, someone who can build long-term SEO equity while also delivering near-term results through targeted paid spend.
Essential Functions
1. SEO & Website Content Optimization
• Own the SEO strategy for our Shopify storefront, with a focus on improving organic rankings for product and category pages across target keywords.
• Audit, optimize, and write content for existing product and category pages; including titles, meta descriptions, headers, body copy, and internal linking structures, to improve search visibility and on-page conversion.
• Manage technical SEO elements including site architecture, URL structure, canonical tags, schema markup (product, breadcrumb, organization), page speed considerations, and crawlability.
• Conduct ongoing keyword research to identify high-value search opportunities and gaps across our product catalog, and translate findings into actionable on-site content updates.
• Monitor organic search performance using GA4 and SEO tools, track keyword rankings, and deliver regular reporting on SEO health and progress against goals.
• Ensure new product pages and site updates are launched with proper SEO foundations in place, no page goes live without optimization.
2. Ecommerce Channel Management
• Manage and optimize product listings across Shopify/Shopify Plus, Amazon Seller Central, The Home Depot (HD.com), and Lowe's.com; ensuring titles, descriptions, images, pricing, and attributes are accurate and optimized across all platforms.
• Write platform-specific product copy tailored to each channel's algorithm and audience, including Amazon A content and Shopify product descriptions with SEO best practices applied.
• Prepare and supply all content assets (copy, imagery briefs, specifications) to the team member responsible for uploading content to retailer portals (HD.com and Lowes.com).
• Monitor channel-level performance and proactively surface issues or opportunities related to listing quality, content gaps, or competitive positioning.
• Collaborate with the design team to brief and develop product imagery, lifestyle visuals, and digital assets that meet each platform's requirements.
3. Paid Advertising Management
• Plan, build, and optimize paid campaigns across Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Performance Max, YouTube), Meta Ads Manager (Facebook & Instagram), and Amazon Sponsored Products/Brands/Display.
• Conduct keyword research, audience targeting, creative testing, and bid management to maximize return on ad spend (ROAS) across all platforms.
• Develop and present budget recommendations to marketing leadership for approval; manage approved spend with disciplined pacing, tracking, and optimization.
• Monitor campaign performance on an ongoing basis, making proactive adjustments to bids, audiences, ad creative, and budget allocation to hit performance targets.
• Report regularly on paid media KPIs including spend, impressions, CTR, CPC, ROAS, and revenue contribution.
4. Analytics & Performance Reporting
• Use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) as the primary analytics platform to monitor traffic sources, user behavior, conversion funnels, and revenue attribution across all channels.
• Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for both organic and paid channels, including organic traffic, keyword rankings, conversion rate, AOV, and ROAS.
• Build and maintain performance dashboards and deliver consistent reporting to the marketing manager that ties channel activity to business outcomes.
• Use data to prioritize where to focus SEO and paid efforts for maximum impact, surfacing insights rather than just reporting numbers.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Serve as the digital commerce and organic growth lead on a two-person marketing team, taking full ownership of SEO, paid media, and channel management.
• Partner closely with the in-house designer to develop compelling creative assets and ensure all digital content meets platform specs and brand standards.
• Coordinate with the team member managing retailer portal uploads to ensure content packages are accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.
• Work with product, operations, and leadership to stay ahead of new product launches, inventory changes, and promotional calendars.
Required Qualifications
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in ecommerce marketing, SEO, or digital marketing, with a demonstrable track record of improving organic search performance.
• Strong working knowledge of on-page and technical SEO, including metadata optimization, schema markup, site architecture, internal linking, and crawl/index management.
• Experience managing and optimizing product and category pages on Shopify or Shopify Plus for both SEO and conversion.
• Direct experience with Amazon Seller Central, including listing optimization and Sponsored Products/Brands campaign management.
• Proven experience managing Google Ads campaigns (Search, Shopping) and Meta Ads with measurable performance results.
• Proficiency in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with the ability to build reports, interpret data, and translate insights into action.
• Highly self-directed and organized, comfortable owning multiple channels simultaneously in a lean team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with retail partner platforms such as The Home Depot (HD.com) or Lowe's.com, including familiarity with their content requirements and item setup processes.
• Familiarity with SEO tools such as BrightEdge, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or Screaming Frog for auditing and keyword research.
• Experience with Amazon-specific tools such as Helium 10, Jungle Scout, or Amazon Brand Analytics.
• Knowledge of Shopify's SEO capabilities, including URL structures, redirect management, and structured data implementation.
• Google Ads certification, Meta Blueprint certification, or equivalent credentials.
• Background in the home improvement, hardware, building materials, or related product category.
What Success Looks Like
In the first 90 days: You have completed a full SEO audit of our barusa.com domain and existing product/category pages, identified priority optimization opportunities, and taken ownership of all active paid campaigns. You understand our products, our channels, and our customers.
At 6 months: Organic traffic to key product and category pages is trending upward, on-page and technical SEO improvements are largely implemented, and paid campaigns are running efficiently with clear ROAS targets being met or exceeded.
At 12 months: You are the recognized owner of our digital growth engine — SEO is a meaningful and growing source of revenue, paid channels are optimized and scaling, and you are proactively driving the roadmap for what comes next.
Work Environment
This role operates primarily in an office setting. Standard office equipment including computers, phones, and related tools are used routinely.
Physical Demands

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, salaried position. Core availability is expected during standard business hours. Some flexibility in hours is allowed based upon the needs of the company and the customer. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
This position requires up to 10% travel. Travel may include overnight stays.
