Job Summary

Barley & Boar is looking for energetic, hospitality-focused Servers to join our team. We take pride in delivering exceptional food, craft beer, cocktails, and genuine hospitality. As a Server, you will be responsible for creating memorable guest experiences by providing attentive service, menu expertise, and a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the Barley & Boar brand.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience

• Welcome guests warmly and provide friendly, professional service throughout their visit.
• Build genuine connections with guests and create a memorable dining experience.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests or concerns.

Food & Beverage Service

• Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Deliver food and beverages efficiently while ensuring quality and accuracy.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of our menu, craft beer selection, cocktails, wine list, and daily specials.
• Make recommendations and upsell menu items and beverages to enhance the guest experience.

Dining Room Operations

• Maintain clean, organized, and properly set tables and service stations.
• Monitor tables throughout service and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Process payments accurately and efficiently.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with bartenders, hosts, bussers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations.
• Support team members during busy shifts and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Previous serving experience preferred but not required; hospitality and customer service experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Must meet all state and local requirements for serving alcohol.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry trays, dishes, and supplies up to 25 pounds.
• Frequent reaching, bending, and movement throughout the restaurant.
