Campo Behavioral Health, LLC is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Registered Nurse to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through New Mexicos Developmental Disabilities Waiver services.
This position is ideal for a nurse who values person-centered care and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals receiving Supported Living and Customized Community Supports services.
Position Responsibilities
- Complete nursing assessments and assist with developing individualized healthcare plans.
- Monitor individuals medical conditions, medications, treatments, and ongoing healthcare needs.
- Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacies, therapists, guardians, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Review physician orders, medical documentation, medication administration records, and health-related reports.
- Provide medication administration training and healthcare education to direct support professionals.
- Monitor staff compliance with medication administration requirements and medical protocols.
- Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and medical appointments when needed.
- Follow up on physician recommendations, laboratory results, hospital visits, and changes in medical condition.
- Provide guidance to staff regarding medical concerns, symptoms, incidents, and emergency procedures.
- Assist with developing medical emergency response plans and health-related protocols.
- Ensure nursing services comply with New Mexico Developmental Disabilities Waiver standards, agency policies, and applicable state regulations.
- Advocate for the health, safety, dignity, independence, and individual rights of each person served.
- Paid on call nights and weekends every other week.
- Current New Mexico Registered Nurse license in good standing.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Ability to complete required background checks and employment screenings.
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is strongly preferred, but qualified nurses who are willing to learn the Developmental Disabilities Waiver system are encouraged to apply.
