Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality metal structures and parts that meet industry standards and safety protocols. Responsibilities

• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine specifications and requirements.
• Perform various welding processes including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes.
• Fabricate metal components using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, soldering equipment, and machining tools to cut, shape, and assemble materials such as sheet metal and other metal materials.
• Measure dimensions precisely using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure accuracy in fabrication.
• Use fabrication equipment to assemble parts, including ductwork, structural steel, or custom metal pieces, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Maintain detailed records of welding procedures, inspections, and quality control checks throughout the production process.
• Collaborate with team members on construction site projects or in fabrication shops to ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining safety standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience working on construction sites or in fabrication shops with a strong understanding of mechanical fabrication processes.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting technical drawings related to metal fabrication and assembly.
• Hands-on experience with welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding; certification from AWS is preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical concepts including shop math, basic math skills, and the use of measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers.
• Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, plasma cutting equipment, machining tools, soldering devices, and safety protocols related to welding operations.
• Ability to work effectively on construction sites or within fabrication environments while adhering to safety standards and ASME codes.
• Mechanical knowledge related to ductwork installation, metal materials handling, sheet metal fabrication, assembly processes, and interpreting technical drawings accurately.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 50.0 per week
