Job Summary:
We are looking for detail-oriented Assistant Bakers to support our team in Shirley with baking, food prep, decoration, and packaging while delivering top-quality products and customer service.
Duties:
- Assist with cake decorating, ensuring designs are visually appealing and meet customer specifications.
- Support food preparation tasks including baking, cooking, and assembling menu items.
- Help with packaging finished products carefully to maintain freshness and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling procedures.
- Follow food safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.
- Contribute to food production processes in a fast-paced setting, supporting the team during busy periods.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and assisting with special requests.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as bakery, catering, or restaurant work is preferred.
- Knowledge of cake decorating techniques and pastry skills is a plus.
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with baking and food preparation methods.
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
