We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Asphalt Supervisor to lead and oversee asphalt paving projects from start to finish. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise asphalt paving crews, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project schedules.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project plans.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to align project objectives and timelines.
• Utilize construction management software such as Primavera P6, HeavyBid, ProCore, and Bluebeam for scheduling, budgeting, and documentation purposes.
• Oversee safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections on-site.
• Manage project budgets by monitoring costs related to materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets specified standards and client expectations.
• Supervise the use of construction site equipment including ohmmeters for electrical testing when necessary.
• Review contracts and change orders to maintain project scope integrity while managing risks effectively.
• Oversee the pipeline of materials and equipment needed for ongoing projects; ensure timely procurement and delivery.
• Maintain detailed records of daily activities, safety incidents, progress reports, and inspection logs.
• Foster a collaborative team environment by supervising staff, providing mentorship, and resolving on-site issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction management with a focus on asphalt paving or heavy civil projects.
• Demonstrated supervising experience with strong leadership capabilities.
• Proficiency in construction management software such as Primavera P6, Bluebeam, ProCore, HeavyBid or similar tools.
• Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating techniques.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to construction sites; ability to enforce safety policies effectively.
• Familiarity with project scheduling tools like Primavera P6; ability to develop realistic timelines and manage project milestones.
• Experience with budgeting processes including cost control measures for materials and labor expenses.
• Strong understanding of contracts management including review and compliance monitoring.
• Ability to operate electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters; basic knowledge of electrical schematics is advantageous.
• Construction site experience with an emphasis on quality control procedures and safety protocols.
