Job Description:
Summary: The Strategic Account Managers’ primary responsibilities are to manage the internal / external daily activities supporting their assigned Business Unit/s. The SAM is tasked to develop and cultivate externally focused customer relationships with the sole intent of growing/increasing new and existing sales profitably by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage P&L responsibilities directly associated with Account Business Unit. Assist Divisional Leadership in Brand and Divisional budget development. Manage sales plan, portfolio GM & CM targets, field sales deployment strategies and sponsorship strategies appropriately. Provide Barco Management team with status updates on a monthly basis and create annual business plan for each account.
- Manage and oversee internal processes with consideration for internal resources: Execute customer driven requests with innovation, efficiencies, and labor mindfulness utilizing existing resources with a collaborative approach.
- Manage and oversee customer service activities i.e.: returns, invoice requirements, customer complaints, custom apparel requests, etc. Manage customer reporting of KPI (Key Performance Indicators) metrics, implementation of monthly survey questionnaires, inventory reports, etc.
- Develop and cultivate relationships with Key Corporate, Supply Chain/Co-Op and Franchisee stakeholders. Maintain corporate relationships with Senior Management. Provide strategic direction and insight to management team.
- Manage Quarterly Business Review architecture and Reporting per customer needs and directions. Track sales and report trends at buyer level. Report KPI metrics based on customer requirements. Provide Market intelligence analysis as appropriate for requested reports.
- Lead Supplier Team collaboration effort and activities to assist with inventory management, assured supply and provide proper level of stock fulfillment. Manage inventory liabilities and facilitate liability negotiation as needed.
- Represent company at National and Regional trade association meetings to promote product. Direct and/or manage planning, implementation and execution of assigned customer’s National and Regional events including event registration, sponsorship and travel for all Barco attendees.
- Develop and manage Sales & Marketing initiatives including website, catalog development and telemarketing campaigns.
- Manage portfolio development and facilitate design process with external Sr. Management. Manage and implement new product store testing and new program rollouts.

- Establish trust at all levels between Identity Sales and all other areas of the business.
Language Ability:
Must have English as primary language of business. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must posses the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent technical skills, proficient in the use of MS Office with strong intermediate Excel, Power Point and Outlook experience.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to work hours that exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week, especially during peak activity periods. Attendance at evening/weekend meetings may be required. Position requires physical ability to travel domestically on commercial transportation up to 30% of their time, periodically weekend travel expected. Ability to carry sample packages and/or garments to client presentations and/or trade shows.
