QA Automation Engineer

As a Barclays' QA Automation Engineer, you will work with our stakeholders to gather testing requirements and help us deliver quality product to our global user base. You will be responsible for leading automation activities in the compliance space both from a CI/CD perspective as well QA automation. You will require interacting with Business Analyst, business stakeholders and developers to understand various test cases.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We're flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. What will you be doing?
* Analysing and understanding requirements from business analyst/key stake holders and translate to testing requirements
* Preparing the automation plan/regression suite for every sprint and track progress
* Raising any potential blockers to the scrum master/agile team lead and come up with a mitigation plan
* Capture testing requirements in JIRA via x-ray test cases and assist the scrum master in sprint prioritization and retrospectives
* Updating the regression suite based on changing functionality and ensure automated regression is done for every release
* Communicating with key stake holders with regards to timelines, impact for any committed delivery
* Investigating and analyzing user queries in EMA and APAC hours
* Coordinating SIT and UAT cycles
What we're looking for:
* Bachelors/Master's Degree
* Significant years of overall IT experience with minimum 4 years in automation space
* Hands on experience in Selenium web driver with Angular based applications
* Thorough knowledge of TDD with cucumber/feature files
Skills that will help you in the role:
* Knowledge of the Compliance / Financial Crime domain will be a strong advantage
* Data analytical skills with ability to identify data gaps
* Experience of working with UI testing tools like protractor, Jasmine or Karma
* Experience with Agile methodologies
