As a Barclays Senior Java J2EE Developer, you will be responsible for the development and support of Global Markets Operations is part of CIB operations, which is made up of operations support for Trading and Funding Desks, Settlements, Core Custody, Financial Monitoring & Control, and post drawdown management and Collateral. You will be a part of Markets-Post Trade Operations Technology, which operates as one team to drive the right customer outcomes and protect the integrity of the financial services markets through innovation.

What will you be doing?

• Leading and providing delivery of the projects as per the agreed timelines
• Performing the Optimizations and performance enhancements competently, in case of any Production performance degradation experienced
• Participating in the Architecture level discussions for the new solutions/projects and assisting Lead architect by providing ideas and inputs
• Leading, managing and mentoring juniors' developers in the team at different locations
• Representing the build-the-bank team in different forums like CTO discussions, RTB discussions and Business escalations
• Possessing the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing requirements/priorities and context

What we're looking for:

• Solid experience utilizing Java J2EE based enterprise critical applications
• Prior experience in Java J2EE maintaining micro services using Apache Camel/Spring Integration EIP Framework on premise
• Solid experience in spring boot, Rest API & Microservices
• Three plus years of experience developing medium to large Applications using different Cloud technologies like AWS, OpenShift/Kubernetes using docker

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Hands-on expertise in No-SQL database
• Knowledge on AWS services - EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, ELB, Amazon API Gateway, Cloud watch & Elastic Beanstalk
• Knowledgeable in SWIFT/Fix messages used in finance domain
• Experience in caching solutions & frameworks
