What are the responsibilities and job description for the Area Manager position at BARCLAY WATER MANAGEMENT, INC?
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Submits a calendar to District Manager on a monthly basis clearly detailing service visits, sales days, reviews and value added projects. Calendar shall be received prior to the first day of the month.
• Complete the Territory Management Tool on an annual basis
• All correspondence generated shall be submitted to Watertown for approval prior to customer distribution. Including, but not limited to:
o Value added projects
o Sales correspondence such as
Proposals
Letters
Agreements
Quotations
o Business reviews
• All visits shall require appropriate documentation. This includes:
o Standard Service Call reports
o Value added project reports
o Prospect introduction, thank you and follow up letters
o Status report
• All service reports shall be submitted in the month they were created.
• Fully implements the TIP program for all accounts greater than 20K.
• Meet or exceeds assigned sales goals.
• Establish new account sales plan (which accounts to target) for region. Targets are selected based on a minimum $350.00 dollars per service hour calculation.
• Report on competitive activity.
• Ensures profitability of accounts within an assigned territory through proper pricing and contract management, assistance with collection of past due accounts receivables, and good use of service time.
• Report any accounts in jeopardy to both District and Regional Sales Managers.
• Ensure your accounts and shared accounts are in administrative good standing. This includes, but not limited to being up-to-date with PO’s, field service reports, and laboratory testing orders.
• Partners with peers and management to learn basic selling techniques and approaches.
• Compose clear, concise, and accurate letters and proposals to customers.
• Conduct annual business review (i.e. product, price, results, improvements, etc.)
• Effectively manage time and budget or expense parameters.
• Ensure proper maintenance and protection of assigned company car and property.
• Assist in training of new sales and service people as assigned.
• Attend as required, all company training sessions and sales events. Provide cooperation with and support to trainers and peers.
• Adhere to all safety policies and inform management of unsafe working conditions.
• Check Barclay e-mail and voice mail systems on a daily basis.
• Meet ISO 9001 quality system requirements.
• Participate in Barclay’s Idea Program
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
