Position Description: BARCA Pier & Wine Bar brings the dynamic energy of Spain’s coastal culture to Old Town Alexandria, offering a dining experience as stunning as its riverfront setting. Located in Robinson Landing, this one-of-a-kind destination features a lively industrial-chic pier anchored by retrofitted shipping containers and a cozy, intimate wine bar perfect for relaxing indoors. Sip handcrafted sangria, Spanish wines, and creative cocktails while savoring award-winning croquettes and Spanish-Mediterranean small plates inspired by flavors from across the region.Alexandria Restaurant Partners locations include Ada’s on the River, Barca Pier & Wine Bar, Café Tu Tu Tango, Mia’s Italian Kitchen, Palette 22, Theismann’s, The Royal, and Vola’s Dockside Grill & Hi-Tide Lounge. Position Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide extraordinary hospitality to guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
Deliver consistent high-quality service and cocktails.
Act as a role model for professionalism, teamwork, and hospitality.
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar.
Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol regulations.
Handle cash and POS transactions accurately. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Qualifications - Minimum of 3 to 5 years as a bartender in a high-volume restaurant.
Deep knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and cocktails.
Proficient in Toast (POS) and cash handling.Ability to stay calm, polite, and attentive during both high-volume and late-night shifts.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
