Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration units and HVAC/R equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical manuals for accurate system servicing.
- Conduct diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and other testing equipment to identify electrical or mechanical issues.
- Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, fans, valves, and control systems.
- Weld or perform other equipment repair techniques as needed for system integrity.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of all repairs and maintenance activities.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Operate a variety of tools including welding equipment, hand tools, and diagnostic instruments effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC, refrigeration, or appliance repair fields.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction, plumbing, boiler operation, or property maintenance preferred.
- Ability to read schematics and HVAC design documents accurately.
- Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desirable.
- Experience with HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units and equipment repair.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
- Welding skills or experience with equipment repair is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of HVAC design principles and field service operations.
- Valid
driver’s license required for travel between job sites. - Ability to work independently in the field while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards. Pay: $27.61 - $37.00 per hour
