2nd Shift Welders and Fabricator/Fitter Experience Required

We are a heavy equipment manufacturer in East Canton, Ohio seeking skilled individuals for fitting and welding our machinery. Candidates are required to work 40 hours Monday through Thursday, 3pm to 1am for 2nd shift and Fridays as needed. Day shift is Monday through Friday, 6am to 2:20pm. Candidates need not be certified in welding, must be able to execute the process of fitting and/or welding correctly and efficiently. We have openings on 1st and 2nd shift.

Additional responsibilities:

*Read blue prints with weld symbols.

*Layout, Position and secure parts and/or assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square and ruler.

*Weld in all positions.

*Must create a weld with integrity.

*Must create a weld that is astatically pleasing.

*Understands the effect of weld heat on steel and how to counter the effect.

*Cut/trim using oxygen & acetylene torch or plasma cutter.

*Hand grind, scrape, and polish for paint preparation.

Requirements:

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience.

· Can read and write.

· Can use a tape measure, square, and/or measuring instruments.

· Has reliable transportation.

· Can work 40 to 50 hours weekly.

· Can lift 75 lbs

· Must have own tools and welding helmet

Compensation:

Starting wage is minimum of $23.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill plus $2.00 per hour shift differential while working on 2nd shift On the job training is provided.
