What You’ll Do:

As a Loan Origination Assistant, you will prepare accurate loan documents, ensure complete and compliant files, and assist underwriters to help move loans efficiently from application to closing.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare, review, and process accurate loan documentation for mortgage and consumer loans using Finastra loan systems.

· Assisting underwriters by analyzing borrower financials and ensuring files are complete and ready for decision.

· Collect and verify required borrower documents, including income, assets, credit, appraisal, and title information.

· Perform loan edits, pay escrow, and process insurance.

· Process turndown files and prepare satisfactions/releases for paid-in-full loans.

· Communicating with loan officers, underwriters, documentation specialist, processors, and other departments to obtain information and resolve issues.

· Ensure all loan documentation meets internal policies and regulatory guidelines.

Skills & Experience

· Minimum of two years of experience in a loan department (processing, documentation, or underwriting), required.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.

· Self-motivated and dependable, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

· Experience with Finastra or similar loan origination software systems, including digital file management and data entry, preferred but not required.

· Solid understanding of mortgage and consumer loan documentation, escrow processes, and regulatory compliance standards.

· Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document imaging systems.

· High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Hours and Benefits

· Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
