Job Overview
Baraboo State Bank is seeking an entry-level credit analyst, but may consider more senior candidates, including those who qualify for a Senior Credit Analyst title. Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply. Must be fluent in English and have a minimum of a Bachelors degree in an appropriate field of study from an accredited, United States-based college or university. This is an on-site position and is located in Baraboo, Wisconsin, approximately 40 minutes north of Madison, Wisconsin.
The ideal candidate will be punctual, reliable, and able to learn on the job, working closely with other analysts, as well as the lending team, in order to manage projects to completion. The position involves analyzing financial information provided to the Bank by our clients, performing sound risk assessment, and completing loan presentation packages used by the lending staff and other approving officers to successfully originate commercial loans. Your ability to work well with others, communicate efficiently and effectively, and remain organized are critical to successfully meeting the needs of the Bank. Writing well (i.e. proper grammar, sentence structure, paragraph structure, etc) and accurately is a key aspect of the position.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field of study (i.e. finance, accounting, economics, business administration) are highly encouraged. Degrees in other fields may be considered when accompanied by previous commercial loan credit analysis work.
- Strong mathematical skills and familiarity with common financial statements: balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, rent rolls, etc.
- Willingness to pick up the phone and talk with colleagues at the Bank.

Starting Salary depends upon experience. This position is being posted as an "entry-level" professional position. More seasoned credit analysts may apply. To be considered an "experienced" applicant, you must have direct work experience at a financial institution working as a commercial credit analyst.
