Information Security Analyst

Responsibilities (Essential):

• Perform routine analysis of information security monitoring reports. Research and document evidence for follow up of anomalies.
• Monitor and respond to real time security alerts from various security tools and escalate as necessary those events which may be indicative of a security incident.
• Document and report findings, actions taken, and lessons learned.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding security incidents and mitigation efforts.
• Document procedures and processes associated with security program activities.
• Report on metrics used to measure compliance with information security standards.
• Ensure proper operation of information and physical security monitoring technologies.
• Collaborate with other security team members and IT staff to address security incidents.
• A team-oriented individual who works well with others and places a premium on the group’s success.
• A self-starter with initiative and drive for continuous improvement

Responsibilities (Marginal):

• Monitor threat intelligence and vulnerability disclosure sources to evaluate relevancy and risk to the Bank’s environment.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Required Education & Experience:

• Minimum of Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Assurance or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Professional certifications are a plus.    
• Minimum 3 years of technical education or experience with a focus on Information Security or Information Technology preferred.
• Strong technical and problem solving skills and attention to detail required.
• A basic understanding of networks and operating system security fundamentals is required.
• Knowledge of key security controls including firewalls, antimalware, and vulnerability management is strongly preferred.
• Experience with SIEM systems is a plus.
• The location of this position will be either Bangor/Hampden ME or Manchester NH, with remote options depending on experience.
