Job Summary:
The KwikShip Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for leading assigned warehouse team members during daily operations and helping ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently. This role provides hands-on direction, monitors workflow, reinforces standards, and helps keep warehouse operations moving according to daily priorities.
This position serves as a working lead and is expected to model accountability, urgency, organization, and teamwork while supporting management with communication, training, and execution on the warehouse floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead assigned warehouse team members during receiving, storage, picking, packing, replenishment, or shipping support activities.
- Help communicate daily priorities and ensure team members understand assignments, expectations, and timelines.
- Monitor work quality, productivity, organization, and accuracy throughout the shift.
- Provide hands-on assistance and problem-solving when workflow issues arise.
- Support training and onboarding of new warehouse associates.
- Reinforce attendance, safety, cleanliness, and operational standards on the floor.
- Report issues related to inventory, damaged product, process delays, or performance concerns to management.
- Help maintain an organized warehouse environment with proper product placement and clear work areas.
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory checks, and order support as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 2 years of warehouse, fulfillment, shipping, or distribution experience preferred.
- Prior team lead or informal leadership experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Strong communication, reliability, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift packages, move throughout the warehouse, and remain on feet for extended periods.
Preferred:
- Experience in eCommerce, fulfillment, or high-volume warehouse environments.
- Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
- Experience training others or supporting workflow coordination.
