Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Production Manager to help oversee manufacturing operations within our organization. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team to meet daily operational targets while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Develop and implement production schedules in alignment with goals, utilizing SAP systems for planning and tracking.
- Oversee supply chain activities to ensure timely procurement of materials and minimize downtime.
- Monitor quality control processes to ensure products meet specified standards and customer expectations.
- Manage process improvement initiatives by analysing workflow, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing effective solutions.
- Maintain mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues promptly and coordinate maintenance activities with the maintenance team.
- Facilitate packaging, production and housekeeping operations ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Review reports on production performance, analyzing data to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing or production management
- Extensive knowledge of SAP, ERP systems preferred
- Strong background in process improvement
- Mechanical knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Experience in quality control procedures is highly desirable.
