Job Summary: Sports medicine outreach duties include: Injury prevention, recognition, evaluation and assessment, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation and reconditioning of the physically active under the supervision of physician. Outpatient clinical duties are performed through the direction of a physical therapist. Performs non-patient care tasks as directed by Rehab Program Manager, Administrative Coordinator or Director.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures Required:
Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited university in Athletic Training. Master’s Degree preferred in either Athletic Training or a related field from an accredited university. Certified Athletic Trainer/National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATA BOC), Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure (KBML). BCLS required. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years previous experience preferred; skill competency level preferred and effective communication skills highly desirable.
