Job Summary: Provides clinical management of patients in collaboration with a psychiatrist. The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) is responsible for practicing medicine to include conducting examinations and writing prescriptions. Within physician –APRN collaborative agreement, the APRN exercises autonomy in medical decision-making and provides a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services with no supervision requirement.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures Required:
- Master of Science in Nursing from as accredited nurse practitioner training program.
- Current DEA license required when eligible
- Active RN license in Kentucky or compact state
- Current unrestricted license to practice as an APRN in the Commonwealth of Kentucky
- Certification by the American Nurse Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- BLS Certification
- Board certification required
- Eligible at all times to be insured for professional liability
