Overview

Job Summary

Organizes and participates in daily delivery of assigned area of services by coordinating personnel and activities in order to accomplish timely and accurate performance of sterilization, assembling of instruments, and case carts for procedures to surgery patients. Performs other duties as assigned.

Successfully passed a nationally accredited central service exam for central service technicians and maintains a certified registered central service technical credential administered by the International Association of healthcare Central Service Material Management or the Certification Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution.

Training

Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired

Successful completion of surgical tech program of 5 years SPD experience.

Special Skills

Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired

Computer literacy. Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency. Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.
