Responsibilities
- Displays knowledge of cardiovascular disease, fitness assessment techniques, acceptable fitness levels and exercise prescription.
- Provides direction and supervision of clients who are exercising.
- Meets educational needs of clients and community.
- Maintains an organized, safe, clean, and efficient exercise environment.
- Completes assgned administrative duties
- Contributes to the development of staff and students.
- Completes assigned goals.
Experience
Minimum Required
- Entry level
- 1 year experience.
Minimum Required
- Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency. Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties. Able to understand and prepare moderately complex written materials, such as client records. Ability to communicate verbally with other employees, physicians and other professionals.
- Specilaized training and/or certification related to practice setting. Completion of a BS degree in Exercise Physiology, Rehabilitation, or similar program.
Preferred/Desired
Minimum Required
- Arthritis Foundation Certification, ANA Rehab Certification, CSCS Certification, MES Certification, APTA Rehab Certification or AACVPR.
Minimum Required
- Basic computer literacy skills.
Licensure
Minimum Required
- BLS certification within 14 days of hire date
