Overview

Job Summary

Directs volunteer services by coordinating and providing leadership through recruitment, placement, and retention of volunteers serving throughout your specific Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Job Responsibilities

• Recruits volunteers and strives to be of assistance to them in making sure their needs meet and work to obtain a match between the volunteer and the job/area of responsibility.
• Works with the managers of various departments to assure the volunteer job descriptions are current.
• Coordinates orientation sessions with new volunteer files on each individual as required by JCAHO and other regulatory agencies.
• Conducts non-employee orientations for all students and others where applicable.
• Maintains files on each individual as required by JCAHO and other regulatory agencies.
• Plans and implements all volunteer recognition activities and performs ongoing assessment of customers' response to services.
• Serves as the overseer of the Gift Shop by assisting in the daily operations, merchandiser, and buying in addition to facilitating the Hospitality Room program.
• Serves as the administrative assistant to Service first.

Experience Description

Minimum Required - 2 years in customer service - Preferred - 4 years in the customer service field.

Education

Minimum Required - Associate degree or equivalent in business or related field. Preferred/Desired - Bachelor Degree in Business or communications or related field.
