What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Non-Exempt- Part Time position at Baptist Memorial Health Care?
A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist is an advanced practice nurse with special training and certification in anesthesia care. The CRNA is mainly engaged in administering anesthesia to patients undergoing surgery and maintaining the patients' well-being during surgery. The CRNA also evaluates the patient prior to anesthesia and provides anesthesia related care after surgery. The CRNA may also provide emergency care to patients in other areas of the hospital. The CRNA functions as a member of the anesthesia team in providing quality anesthesia care.

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nurse anesthesia
- Current licensure as a CRNA by the Mississippi Board of Nursing
- BLS Certifications
- Ability to relate to other staff and patients
- Participate in continuing education programs related to anesthesia and mandatory Baptist Memorial Hosp-Oktibbeha in-service programs
- Ability to meet daily physical demands of the job
- CRNA reports directly to the Chief CRNA
- Medically directed by the anesthesiologist
