Job Summary
The Payment Reimbursement Analyst is responsible for identifying payer accounts to determine compliance with payer contracts. Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter experts and resources on interpretation of payor contract language to ensure appropriate reimbursement by insurance companies.
- Identify, analyze and report trends in repayment issues to leadership.
- Complete special AR projects to help liquidate key segments of Baptist aging AR.
- Participates in the development of the department long-term and short-term goals, objectives plans, policies and procedures.
- Applies consistent and standardized reporting of findings and repayment calculations.
- Communicates with insurance companies daily.
Experience
Minimum Required
- Two (2) years of experience working in accounting, finance, or a hospital revenue cycle environment.
Education
Minimum Required
- Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. Or an equivalent combination of previous related payment reimbursement experience and education.
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, accounting, Business or other related field

- Strong analytical skills. Good verbal and written communication skills in the English language. Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Knowledge of healthcare receivables.
