Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support staff in admissions, registration, and insurance verification for Baptist.
- Oversee daily workflow to ensure timely and accurate patient registration and data entry
- Conduct training and competency assessments for new and existing employees
- Monitor staff performance and productivity using KPIs, accuracy audits, and patient feedback
- Serve as a liaison between patient access, clinical departments, and revenue cycle staff
- Resolve escalated patient concerns with professionalism and compassion
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and hospital regulations
- Assist in developing and implementing procedures to reduce claim denials and improve financial outcomes
- Prepare reports for departmental leadership on volumes, quality metrics, and process improvements
- 3 years of experience in hospital-based patient access or revenue cycle functions
- Previous supervisory or lead role experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of EMR systems (e.g., Meditech, Epic, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong understanding of insurance verification, and pre-authorizations
