Looking for an experienced Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse to join Baptist Jacksonville Cardiac ICU on Night Shift
Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization; supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Responsibilities include: Coordination and preparation of assigned room/case, assessment of patient care needs and the anticipation of needs of the case. This position requires call.
Performance Standards Note: Utilize Performance Standards labeled "ORRN" for the ORs and utilize "RN" Performance Standards for the ICU RNs
As a Registered Nurse you will be Responsible for:
- Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses
- Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
- Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
- Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
- Serve as patient advocate
- Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
Education/Degree Required:
Associate of Science in Nursing Or
Diploma Nurse Or
Degree Preferred:
Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS)
Experience:
- 1-2 years Cardiac Experience Preferred
- 1-2 years Telemetry Experience
- Hospital Experience
Licenses and Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
- Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
- Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred
- Licensed Registered Nurse Required
