Baptist Medical Center MD Anderson is currently hiring for a Full-Time Days Patient Access Representative II to join our BMDA Patient Access Services Department at our Baptist MD Anderson location here in the Jacksonville, FL area.
Shift Details: Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
This team is small with 2 individuals performing check-ins and 6-10 individuals performing check-outs. The team works closely alongside patients and providers. The team member will be comfortable in an office setting, hard worker, customer service and multi task skilled. The department focus is helping MD Anderson patients through their medical process by working with the patient's schedule and confirming patient appointments.
As a Patient Access Representative II, you will be responsible for:
- Registering patients accurately and efficiently
- Utilizing multiple systems and interfaces Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
- Maintaining service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
- Contributing to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
- Possessing a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
- Maintaining a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
- Articulating compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
- Maintaining patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
Patient Access Representative Experience:
- 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required
- 1-2 years Insurance Experience Required
- 1-2 years Healthcare Experience Required
Education & Credential Requirements:
- High School Diploma Required
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Preferred
