The Quality Management Nurse is responsible for the identification and timely reporting of certain clinical indicators/measures (as defined by State and Federal regulations) as well as the review, investigation, analysis, tracking, trending and reporting of aggregated data related to those measures and/or any variations in the standard of care.

- Review, investigate and report certain clinical indicators/measures and any variances in the standard of care provided.
- Facilitates reporting, monitoring and assessment of data for the purpose of identification of opportunities to improve patient care services.
- Consults with hospital and medical staff when gaps in processes/opportunities for improvement in care provided are identified to ensure appropriate actions are taken.
- Communicates/escalates identified potential or actual patient safety events/risks to Administration and key staff members.
- Tracks, trends, analyzes and reports aggregated data on variations in the standard of care by providers.
- Presents data related to performance and outcome measures and variances in care to key stakeholders in a clear and concise format.
