Job Summary
Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a PRN Night shift opportunity. Scheduled shifts are 7:00pm-7:00am.
The Emergency Department at Baptist South serves the rapidly growing communities of southern Jacksonville and northern St. Johns County. The department provides comprehensive emergency care supported by advanced technology and a collaborative medical team.
Registered Nurse, Job Responsibilities:
- • Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to patients with a wide range of medical, surgical, and emergent conditions• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and plans of care• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality care• Coordinate services provided by ancillary departments to support optimal patient outcomes• Serve as a patient advocate, promoting patient safety, dignity, and satisfaction• Uphold and embody the mission, vision, and values of Baptist Health• Participate in staff meetings, unit-based initiatives, and continuous quality improvement activities
Registered Nurse, Experience:
- 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
- Telemetry Experience
- Emergency Department Experience Preferred
- Hospital Experience
Registered Nurse, Education & Credential Requirements:
• Associate of Science in Nursing Required• Bachelor of Science in Nursing Preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred• Certified Emergency Registered Nurse (CEN) Preferred• Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred• NIH Stroke Scale Certification Preferred• Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) Preferred
