Job Summary
Baptist Health is seeking a MRI Technologist to join our Pediatric MRI Department at our Wolfson Children's Hospital location.
This MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing MRI exams on patients, ensuring high-quality diagnostic procedures and patient safety. In addition to performing MRI exams on patients, this MRI Technologist will prepare patients for MRI exams and explain the procedure to them. The MRI Technologist will work closely with Radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information. This MRI Technologist will operate the MRI equipment. This is a full-time position offering Weekday Afternoon shifts, Mon-Fri 1430-2300, rotating weekends.
As an MRI Technologist, responsibilities will include:
Performing high-quality (MRI) procedures.
Promoting goodwill among coworkers and other departments, and maintaining a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients.
Maintain compliance with mandatory education and health requirements.
Taking every precaution to protect oneself, the patient, and others from potential harm relating to the magnetic field.
Identifying, preparing, administering, and documenting medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner in accordance with state and federal regulations or Lawful institutional policy.
Education & Credential Requirements:
Vocational School or Associate's Degree
American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) Required OR
Registered Technologist in Radiography ARRT (R) Required Or
Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Required
Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT (MR) Required Or
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
*If CRT or ARRT (R) must obtain ARRT (MRI) registry within 18 months.
