Job Summary
Baptist Health is currently hiring a Spanish/English Language Interpreter in our Office of Interpreting Service at Baptist Hospital located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN opportunity.
This position may also involve over-the-phone interpretation and sight translation of documents.
As a Language Interpreter, you will be responsible for:
- Clearly and accurately interpreting between target language and source language for caregivers and patients/companions who have limited proficiency in English.
- This position may involve over-the-phone interpretation and sight translation of documents.
- You will work with a diverse group of people across the entire health system, working with numerous cultures. The interpreters are respected and they work in a great tight knit environment!
- Must have 3-5 years Interpreting experience
- Highly preferred to have Medical Translater Certificate
Experience Requirements:
- Three-Five Years Interpreting Experience Required
- Three-Five Years Foreign Language Experience Required
Education & Credential Requirements:
High School Diploma Required
40-60 Hour Medical Interpreter Training Course Required
