Job Description:
Security is responsible for providing the physical protection of Baptist Health assets, including people, property, reputation, and information.
Security Officer
Full-Time, Second Shift
Job Requirements:
- Receiving general direction from the Security Director, Coordinator, or designee, enforces Hospital regulations, provides a safe and secure environment for hospital patients, visitors and employees.
- The Security Officer will enforce hospital policies and security regulations through active monitoring and patrolling of Baptist property by continuously watching and reporting of potential safety hazards and unusual occurrences.
- As determined by supervisory personnel, the Security officer investigates complaints or potential criminal conduct; assists in restraining patients as necessary; provides protective services.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association within 90 Days
- Must obtain Aegis within 90 Days
- Must obtain Taser 7 certification within 90 Days
- Must obtain Basic International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) certification within 6 months
