Summary
Job Description:
Food Service Worker
Part Time, First Shift
Food, and Nutrition Services goals are to provide a variety of nutritional, safe, attractive, healthy food choices to patients, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and portion food items, including washing, peeling, cutting, and measuring ingredients.
Cook and fry foods according to recipes and safety standards, ensuring proper temperature and quality.
Serve patients, staff, and visitors courteously and efficiently while following dietary guidelines.
Operate cash register and answer Food Service phones to assist customers and staff.
Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, and floors according to infection control and safety procedures.
Wash pots, pans, and dishes following hospital sanitation standards.
Properly store and label food items using safe food handling and rotation practices.
Safely transports food trays and supplies to and from kitchen and service areas.
Follow all hospital safety, dress code, and infection control policies.
Participate in required training, safety drills, and team meetings
Requirements:
Food Handler Card or Servsafe Certificate (Preferred)
