Summary
Manages all aspects of providing laboratory instruction directly related to the desired course outcomes; evaluates educational outcomes and uses outcome data to modify instructional methodology with the goal of ensuring competent health care practitioners. This does include classroom and laboratory instruction. Supervisor is responsible for operational management of facility housing science laboratories and classrooms. Incumbent is subject to hours beyond the normal workday.

This does include classroom and laboratory instruction. Supervisor is responsible for operational management of facility housing science laboratories and classrooms. - Administers the operational management of the laboratory and classroom spaces related to General Education and Health Studies courses, works with Allied Health to monitor their laboratory and classroom spaces, works with administration, maintenance and instructional technology to maintain an efficient and safe environment for student learning.
- Oversees the hiring, orientation and monitoring of student workers as needed.
- Facilitates the instruction of all laboratory sessions in the science building and monitors student outcomes.
- Responsible for the oversight of safety related issues in the General Education and Health Studies laboratories and works with maintenance to audit safety issues for the building.
- Performs other accountabilities as assigned or directed.
- College science laboratory teaching experience and experience managing a science laboratory
- Master’s Degree in Biology or Chemistry
- PhD
