Summary: The RN - Trauma Auditor shall be responsible to ensure complete and accurate documentation on the patient's medical record. This individual will also be responsible to provide call-back instructions and follow-up as directed by the ED physician. The Auditor will perform appropriate data collection and entry of required fields to the Alabama Trauma Registry when applicable. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role. Education / Experience: Degree in Nursing, Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 3-5 years trauma ER experience preferred. License / Certification: Active RN license required, BLS required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 35 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Must be able to monitor technical equipment with in job responsibilities.
Must be able to distinguish variations in sounds.
Must be able to manipulate and operate equipment.
Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Maybe subject to high noise levels.
Must be able to work at a fast pace and sometimes-stressful environment.
Much exposure to computer work.
Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.

- Must be familiar with the hospital computer system. Minimal typing skills.
