Summary: The RN - Physician Practice shall render direct, pre-operative, and intraoperative nursing care to patients under the supervision of the Nurse Managers or other assigned leaders, as well as to serve as a leader of a team engaged in giving nursing care. This individual shall participate in quality improvement, in-services, customer service, and have a clear understanding of the principles of aseptic technique, where applicable. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role. Education / Experience: Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's degree preferred. Membership in AORN encouraged. License / Certification: Valid RN license required, BLS required, CNOR preferred, Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc) may be required depending upon department assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. There is occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and twisting.
There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 30 pounds and pushing/pulling.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
