Summary: The Posting Representative shall be responsible to accurately post insurance and patient payments to the correct patient account in a timely manner. This individual will ensure accurate posting as it is essential to the operations of the Central Business Office and to the financial success of Baptist Health. The Posting Representative must have knowledge of all of Baptist Health's Managed Care contracts so that payments are posted correctly. The Representative shall be able to identify underpayments from insurance companies, identify problem areas that result in insurance denials and accurately bill the patient. The Representative is responsible to reconcile the insurance payment, the contractual allowance, and the patient's copay and/or deductible to the remit. Additionally, the Representative must balance the bank deposit daily.This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Education / Experience: High school graduate or equivalent required. License / Certification: None Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels.
Much exposure to computer work.
Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
