Highlights

Summary: The Courier shall be responsible to load, unload, pick-up, and deliver routine and emergency supplies for Baptist Health facilities. This individual shall also provide pick-up and deliver non-routine supplies from local businesses. The Courier will work with leadership and departments to ensure the most efficient use of the courier service. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role. Education / Experience: High school graduate or equivalent required. Must possess a valid drivers license and clean driving record. License / Certification: None Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Use of materials handling equipment.
• Ability to drive a vehicle.
• Must be able to operate pickup trucks, minivans, panel vans and trucks to 28 feet in length.
• Position requires a self-motivated individual with can work with minimal supervision.
• Must be flexible with work assignments.
• Must be able to perform work with minimal errors.
• Must have good customer service skills.
• Must be able to drive vehicles without complications.
  
  

Work Conditions/Physical Requirements: Position requires sitting for 50% of the workday and mobility 50% of the workday.

There is frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.

There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.

Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds.

There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.

Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.

Inside mostly protected from weather conditions but 30% of work time is spent outdoors. Tolerance to in-climate weather, hot and cold conditions is a must.

Some exposure to computer work.

Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.

Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.

Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
