Summary: The Clinical Pharmacist, Pediatrics shall provide leadership for all clinical pharmacy activities within assigned area. This individual shall provide support for staff development so that staff meets minimum competency standards. The Pharmacist shall maintain knowledge of current pharmaceutical practices and policies. Additionally, the Pharmacist will support management by providing oversight, guidance, and support for all assigned areas. This individual shall participate in the planning, organization, implementation, and follow up of new programs and activities. The Pharmacist will promote safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication therapy throughout the department. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Education/Experience
Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy required, PharmD degree preferred. Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency program or a minimum of 2 years' experience.
Licensure/Certification
Active RPH required, Active Alabama Controlled Substance certification required, BLS required, BPS certification preferred, Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc) may be required depending upon area assigned
