Summary : The RN - Nurse Manager I shall be primarily responsible for the organization and implementation of day-to-day unit operations. The Nurse Manager is also responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and evaluating unit activities for the provision of quality patient care within the framework of the mission, vision, and values of Baptist Health. This individual shall demonstrate knowledge and understanding of organizational skills and interpersonal skills. Additionally, the Nurse Manager shall demonstrate the consistent ability to act as a role model by providing direction in the application of the nursing process, quality/performance improvement standards, and organizational/departmental goals and objectives. As a member of the Nursing Service Leadership Team, the Nurse Manager will assist in the development of long and short term goals, objectives, policy development, and priority setting for the Nursing Department. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role. Education / Experience :Degree in Nursing, Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 2 years staff nurse experience with progressive experience in nursing and nursing management required. License / Certification : Active RN license required, BLS required, Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc) may be required depending upon area assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :- Evidence of Commitment to continuing education.
