Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Execute residential and commercial painting projects using various techniques such as airless spray, brush, and roller application
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to determine project scope, measurements, and material requirements
- Perform carpentry tasks including framing, trim installation, fixture mounting, and basic remodeling work
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely for tasks such as caulking, plastering, stucco application, and masonry repairs
- Conduct restoration work on existing structures by repairing damaged surfaces or replacing components like drywall or trim
- Assist with construction estimating by assessing project needs and materials for accurate planning
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting, carpentry, or related fields with on-site construction site experience
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, welding equipment, and masonry tools
- Familiarity with color theory for achieving desired aesthetic effects in residential and commercial settings
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimates
- Experience with renovation projects including restoration, remodeling, fixture installation, and maintenance work
- Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to OSHA standards
