About Banyan
Banyan Treatment Centers is a national provider of intensive treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Backed by TPG, we're expanding into new markets and building the people infrastructure to match — scalable, modern, and built around a mission that changes lives.
What It's Like To Work In HR Here
We promote from within. Our HR and recruitment leaders were both promoted from inside the organization — because we believe in recognizing performance and building real growth paths for everyone on the team.
Expectations are clear and support is always there. Every team member has annual goals we set together, some focused on execution, others on building what's next. We connect weekly to stay aligned, solve problems, and make space for ideas.
We show up for each other. HR can be heavy. We deal with real people and real challenges every day. We take that seriously, but we don't carry it alone. There's trust, support, and a lot of laughter along the way.
We do the work. Over the past year we've been deeply focused on improving processes and streamlining how we operate. It's made us stronger, faster, and more consistent — and it's given us a solid foundation to build on.
We're building something better. We're not here to maintain the status quo. We're building the Banyan Way: how HR shows up, supports the business, and creates an experience people actually feel. That means defining best practices, not just following them and having direct impact on the employee experience and retention of top talent.
What You'll Own
Your core work falls across three areas:
Eligible full-time team members receive comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life insurance; disability coverage; 401(k) with employer match; paid time off and holidays; wellness incentives; and employee assistance programs.

What You'll Own
Your core work falls across three areas:
- Employee relations — Leading investigations, coaching managers, resolving conflict. You'll be the trusted resource when things get complicated.
- Compliance and leave — Managing FMLA, ADA, and LOA across multiple states. Maintaining documentation and keeping us audit-ready. Multi-state employment law is something you understand and stay current on.
- HR operations — Owning day-to-day processes: employee lifecycle changes, HR ticketing, data accuracy in HRIS, and payroll coordination. You'll also look for ways to make these things work better.
- 3 years as an HR generalist or HRBP
- Hands-on ER experience — you've run investigations
- Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and multi-state compliance
- Comfort with ADP or a comparable HRIS
- Payroll process familiarity
- Healthcare or regulated industry experience is a plus, not a requirement
- You'd rather fix a broken process than work around it
- You're responsive and organized under competing demands
- You're comfortable being creative when resources require it
- You communicate clearly with leaders and employees alike
- The mission matters to you, not as a slogan, but genuinely
