Senior Credit Analyst

Senior Credit Analyst / Remote / NC Candidates only!

Position Summary

Banyan Search is partnering with an exceptional corporation in their search for a Senior Credit Analyst. The Senior Credit Analyst evaluates credit risk, manages the credit approval process, and supports collections activities. This role collaborates with Finance, Sales, and Operations teams and helps mentor junior credit staff.

Responsibilities

• Review customer financial statements — including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements — to assess creditworthiness and inform credit limit decisions.
• Analyze credit reports and financial data to authorize or recommend credit limits in accordance with company policy.
• Develop and maintain credit risk models to identify trends and support portfolio management.
• Manage collections, bankruptcy, and escheat processes, including coordination with third-party agencies and regular management reporting.
• Maintain accurate customer account data in the ERP system and support internal and external audits of accounts receivable.
• Collaborate with Sales to resolve customer disputes and negotiate payment arrangements.
• Train and mentor new credit team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7 years of experience in commercial credit and collections, including financial statement analysis and credit limit authorization.
• 5 years of advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and credit bureau tools.
• Strong knowledge of credit and collections principles, GAAP, and bankruptcy regulations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.

While this position is mostly remote, candidate will need to travel to Triad based office for onboarding and once/month. NC candidates only!
