Job Summary
Banyan Equity Management is a property management company based out of Houston, TX we are looking for a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to add to our team. This person needs to a have positive, can do attitude and flexible on day to day tasks. As the bookkeeper you will work with the books on a day to day basis. However, on the Administrative side you will work with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint frequently and as such this software is something you must be very fluent in. Daily tasks and requirements are listed below.
- Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software
- Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure
- Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
- Verifying the accuracy of business accounts
- Developing monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets
- Managing employee expense claims
- Helping Corporate staff with additional projects.
- Answering corporate phones
- Travel within the greater Houston area
Job Requirements
- Works with Quickbooks or has in the past
- 3 years experience in bookkeeping
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Willing to travel within the Houston Area
- Flexible on a day to day basis
