Banyan Counseling Collective is seeking a licensed therapist to join our team! We are a group practice of mental health therapists who strive to provide a nonjudgmental, comfortable, and welcoming space to our community in the hopes of creating a society rooted in compassion, empathy, and more conscious awareness.
Our office is located in the Sunnyside neighborhood of Northwest Denver. We are fortunate to reside in the building of a local non profit, which means we are surrounded by like-minded individuals and helping professions. BCC provides contractors with referrals, there is no marketing or advertising required from you. We work with limited insurance companies using a third party billing company and coordinate the billing aspects of working with insurance.
We also offer monthly consultation groups as well as total control over your own schedule with clients - this includes the flexibility to work from our office or from the comfort of your own home. We offer the space to bring your interests and specialties into our practice and fully support our therapists in developing groups or other programming that feed their passion once it is approved by leadership.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a clinician that can provide a minimum of 15 direct client facing hours per week at our Denver office location, from the comfort of their own home, or both, depending on clinician and client preference.
- Use evidence based practices to provide therapy to individual clients.
- Comfort working with a variety of mental health concerns and populations.
- Ability to complete documentation in a timely manner including progress notes, treatment plans, and invoicing sessions.
- Participate in initial assessments, treatment planning, and coordination of care.
- Complete clinical assessments, interpretive summaries, and care planning based on assessment of individual needs, and complete diagnosis based on DSM-5 TR criteria.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments and evidence-based practices.
- Manage caseload to fill at least 15 client facing hours per week.
- Adhere to confidentiality laws including 42CFR Part 2, HIPAA and HITECH as well as all Banyan Counseling Collective policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as discussed with leadership.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related field.
- A minimum of two years of experience in mental health is required. Experience working in an outpatient setting is preferred.
- Experience using evidence-based treatments to treat multiple behavioral health disorders, including anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
- State licensure or state pre-licensure and actively pursuing licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Training in evidenced based practices. EMDR or other trauma treatment modalities are a plus!
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
