Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Amazon Driver to join our delivery team. This role involves safely transporting packages to customers, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in driving commercial vehicles, handling heavy loads, and navigating routes efficiently. Duties
- Safely operate box trucks or similar commercial vehicles to deliver packages across assigned routes
- Load and unload packages using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance is up to date
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently using GPS and route planning tools
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring packages are delivered accurately and courteously
- Collect signatures or proof of delivery as required
- Handle heavy lifting and moving of packages, sometimes involving large or bulky items
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report any issues or delays promptly
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
Experience
- Prior experience as a delivery driver, courier, or warehouse worker preferred
- Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmission
- Knowledge of route driving and navigation in urban or suburban areas
- Customer service experience is highly valued
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently for extended periods
- Valid
driver’s license with a clean driving record - Previous experience with heavy lifting, moving, and load & unload operations is advantageous
