The district is one of the oldest districts in the county, having been founded to serve area students in the late 1800s. Through the years, Banta has remained a small K-8 school district focused on meeting the needs of its diverse student population. Job Summary

Under the direction of the site administrator, the High School Attendance Secretary performs specialized clerical and secretarial duties related to student attendance, enrollment, records management, and front office operations. The Attendance Secretary maintains accurate attendance records, monitors and reports attendance data, communicates with students, parents, and staff regarding attendance matters, and ensures compliance with District policies and California Education Code. The position provides administrative support to school administration while maintaining the confidentiality of student information and contributing to the efficient operation of the school office.
