Custodial & Venue Support Position —(Temple, TX)

We’re hiring a responsible and detail-oriented custodial team member to help keep the venue in pristine condition for our events. From weddings and banquets to funerals and celebrations, our venue serves the heart of our community—and cleanliness and professionalism are essential to every event we host.

Ideal Candidate Qualities:

• Lives within 10 minutes of downtown Temple
• Exceptionally detail-oriented and thorough. Self starter.
• Takes initiative and works independently with minimal supervision
• Has relevant custodial or event setup experience
• Maintains a high standard for quality and integrity in their work
• Demonstrates a “Do it Right, Do it Once” mindset
• Works well with others (some shifts solo, others with 1–2 team members)
• Professional work ethic and excellent communication mainly. Must have reliable phone during shift that allows picture sharing for tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and prepare the venue before and after events
• Set up and break down tables, chairs, and event layouts
• Sweep, mop, and maintain bathrooms (2–4 total), kitchen counters, and floors
• Wipe down surfaces, windows, doors, baseboards, ledges, and trash cans
• Light outdoor maintenance (sweeping sidewalks, pulling occasional weeds)
• Occasionally fold linens and set table place settings. Light inventory monitoring.
• Lift up to 30 lbs (no heavy lifting beyond this)
• Light maintenance such as occasional caulking, changing hvac filters, painting, deep cleaning, pulling weeds if any grow sidewalk. We can always find work and hours for the right person:

Schedule & Flexibility:

• Average: 2–20 hours/week (great for those seeking supplemental income)
• Flexible scheduling available (ideal if you work or study full-time)
• Event cleanup is often late-night or early-morning work. Must be able to work Friday nights 11pm and occasional Saturday nights.

Typical Hours:

• Most Fridays & Saturdays: 11:00 PM – 1:00–3:00 AM
• Some Sundays: (can vary)
• Occasional weekday shifts available!!

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Pay: $24–$28/hour
• Shift Differential: $2/hour for work after 10 PM
• Bonus: $200 every 12th event (averages hourly pay to ~$34/hour)
• Pay Schedule: Paid monthly on the 1st via Zelle (instant) or mailed business check (Chase processing adds a few days)
• Growth Opportunities: Potential for more hours as our operations expand
• Note: No health insurance or benefits included

Additional Notes:

• We deeply value our custodial staff as key contributors to our events and reputation. This is a job for someone who takes pride in their work and understands the role’s importance.
• Our payment schedule is consistent and reliable for the past six years. Pay is the 1st of every month. Zelle is preferred as it is same day processing. We can pay by check through Chase Business, with this processing time can sometimes take 7 to 10 days due to the bank and mail system which we don’t have control over.
